Improbable Pianos

Improbable Pianos marks the release of Robert Scott Thompson’s earliest recorded works. All of these tracks were written during his days as a compositional student at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) and were recorded exclusively in the digital domain. Now remastered and released for the first time - 20 years after their initial creation. The tracks on Improbable Pianos clearly foreshadow his more experimental computer music work displayed on 1992’s The Strong Eye & 1994’s Shadow Gazing and most recently on the critically acclaimed release - 2001’s Acousma - heralded as ‘An amazing album’ and ‘Thompson’s most important CD.’ Robert Scott Thompson Bio - Robert Scott Thompson is a composer of instrumental and electroacoustic music.
